Hello, I'm Stan, your personal Bid Butler. I am the newest addition to the staff at Land Of Savings.com and I still believe I get a bad deal.

All of my other work friends get to work an 8 hour shift. All of my other work friends get a holiday, sick pay and they enjoy a laugh in Town now and again.

I know it's a credit crunch, but I have been employed to work, 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year!

I mean, I am not unhappy enough to go on Strike or anything. I just don't want to be sitting around doing nothing....

So how do you use me?

Well, I can place bids on your behalf when you want to catch an early night, maybe pop in the bath, answer the phone or even make your dinner. I am here, working for you, when you need me. I am like your personal slave, unlike humans (like Hannah) I don't forget anything.

You tell me how much you want to bid (for example £1.00) and how many bids I can use (you stay in full control) and I will use the bids you give me and place them when I can to try and make you a winner.

Example Auction

Let's say we have an auction running for a Fridge (£100 worth) and I am working in that auction (IE. The bid butler screen appears on the right hand side). You can tell me the minimum price, maximum price and number of bids. So let's do an example,

In this current example, the price of the auction is currently at 10p and is being won by the member "GSNAIL"

You want to bid but don't have the time to sit at your screen. (You have 100 bids in your account) You can select a price you are willing to pay up to. For example £1.00 (11p - £1.00) = 89 bids. Now you can give me as many or as little bids as you want, however, if you give me 3 bids for such a bid price, I can only place 3 bids for you between 11p and £1, I can't call you and say, hey mate, can I have more bids...

I'll try and email you and tell you I need bids, but it's your choice. If you was to give me 89 bids for example and the auction finished before £1, you would be the winner!

The higher the price range, the more bids you should give me (within a limit you can afford of course). I will do my best to win you an auction and if I do, you can buy me a drink (A Soda water) as I am not allowed to drink on shift....

No, before you ask, I am not leaving this great job. I won't be pressured. I love working for people and I am only happy when I have lot's to do, so go on, let me work for you. I could make you a tidy profit.

Remember, if you still don't understand me, you can contact my work friends and make them do something, they will tell you more about me. This is as much as I have on my CV.

A bid of advice from Stan...

Please only bid if you can afford to, I don't want you to lose, I cannot guarantee to win you an auction, but I will do my best at all times. Never bid if you are tired or had a drink (IE Alchol). Anyway, enough advice, I have work to do....
