We have modified the following changes on the 12th of November 2009, please be sure to review the modified terms which are shown in red, these are applied with immediate effect. You are deemed to have accepted our terms and conditions if you place a bid or continue to use our service. If you do not accept the new conditions you can contact us within 30 working days to request the closure of your account.

Landofsavings.com is a skill based game where you can win items like Ipods, Apple Mac's, Cash and Large high end electrical products for pennies.

These terms and conditions apply to the services available from the www.landofsavings.com website. Your use of our services is governed by the following terms and conditions, (“User Agreement"). Before you can become a member of Landofsavings.com, you must read and accept all of the terms and conditions of this User Agreement.

The User Agreement is valid from 31 August 2009 and comes into effect for all users new and old. This document constitutes a legally binding agreement between the User and us (landofsavings.com). 
 
Eligibility and Registration
You may not use this website if you are under the age of 18 or you are not able to form a legally binding contract. Each user may register only once under their postal address. During the registration process, the user must choose a user name. Landofsavings.com has the right to change or delete the user name if it finds any user name offensive. The associated password is to be kept secret by the User. In general, the User shall be liable for all activities that are undertaken using the user account together with the associated password.

Please note, for security reasons we cannot accept P.O Boxes (you must use a full UK postal address) and enter a contact telephone number which we recomend to be a landline for delivery and security checks.

Landofsavings.com can at any time temporarily or to permanently disqualify a User. Users will be disqualified when it is believed that a member has violated statutory provisions or the rights of third parties. A disqualification can also occur if LandofSavings.com has another justified interest. For example, for the protection of other Users, or to prevent manipulation, in particular if bids are not paid, if unauthorised bidding software is used, or several user accounts are set up by the same User. Land Of Savings reserves the right in its absolute discretion to restrict the number of sales in which a User may participate in or may win. 

We accept players from any country as long as you are not breaking any laws in your own country or international laws by playing at www.landofsavings.com We reserve the right to request ID before we post any parcels or credit your account. Fraud attempts will be reported and we will take full legal action against any person/s attempting to defraud us.
 
Bid Purchasing for Online Bidding/Payment
Bidding rights, called “bids” have to be purchased by users prior to bidding. Only registered users have the right to submit bids on the Land Of Savings website. These bids can be purchased in packages (called “Bid Packages”). The bids must be paid for in advance. Purchased Bid Packages are non refundable. Payment can be made via PayPal, who now take debit and credit cards. A contract for the purchase of the bids is in force as soon as the bids are purchased and deposited into the user’s account. In the event of any payment not being honoured Land Of Savings reserve the right to suspend access to the user’s account until payment of the invoice amount is received in full and/or take further action to recover any losses.  If we set a reserve price on any of our auctions and the reserve price is not met we may extend the auction or close the auction, In the event we close the auction all bidders will receive a refund of their credits to use on other auctions.

Free2bid auctions
As of the 12th of November 2009, free2bid will be auctions whereby members can bid Unlimited for free in an attempt to win the auction. The winner is entering into a legally binding contract to pay the final auction price. Free2bid auction items include bids. All members are limited from the 12th of November 2009 to winning 10 free2bid auctions per 30 days.

Cash Alternatives

We are able to offer a cash alternative to any auction win. The cash offer will be at the trade price (the price we are able to purchase the items) less a small fee. To request a cash alternative, please submit a support ticket. Please note, a cash alternative will be paid around 16 days after we accept to offer you a cash alternative. We will email you our offer, if you accept we will email you with the date the funds will be paid to you. A charge of £5.00 will be applied to transactions paid via Cheque or direct to UK banks. Customers outside of the UK can have a cash offer via PayPal only, in this event the transaction will be processed within 30 days.

If you request a cash offer on free2bid auction you will need to understand that we have to take into account the number of bids enclosed with this item. The cost of bids will be worked out at a fraction (to be decided by us at time of request) against the final auction price. We will then send you our cash offer. It is important to understand that all cash offers are subject to our acceptance. If you are looking for the highest cash offer, please consider playing our penny auctions and not free2bid. Our offers on free2bid will be reduced due to the fact that bids are included and that you and other members have not purchased any bids to participate. If you decline our cash offer, your item will be dispatched within the delivery terms shown below. Once you accept our cash offer, this will form a legally binding contract and as such the item will be sold back to us.

Each cash offer will be made on merit. We reserve the right to decline a cash offer at any time.

Bidding/Bid Buddies
Bidding can be conducted by the user clicking the “bid” button on the website, or “Bid Buddies can be setup to bid on the User’s behalf. Once a bid is submitted it is deducted from the User’s account.
The Bid Buddies system to which each user has access gives users the ability to bid on items even if they are not online. The bid buddy automatically submits bids according to the specifications set in advance by the User.
If our Bid Buddy/Autobidder system has a technical fault and bids are not placed we reserve the right to suspend the auction. If a fault occurs and an auction ends whilst members still have bids in place we will investigate the fault. We may refund bids that you used on that particular auction or suspend the auction and re-start it.
The User is prohibited from using bidding software not authorised by Land of Savings and doing so will result in immediate disqualification from use and we may commence legal action.
 

The Bidding Process
When a user submits a bit either by clicking the “bid” button or using the bid buddy system, the price of the item will increase by at least 1 pence (depending on auction), whilst most of our auctions are 1 pence auctions, we do run higher price auctions, these are clearly stated in the "Description" of the items, this ensures the members of Land Of Savings bids, receive maximum savings on the item.
A bid submitted by the User constitutes an offer from that User to Landofsavings.com to conclude a contract to purchase the item. A contract to purchase the item does not come into effect until the auction is finished and the last bidder has paid for the item in full, either by using credits from previous unsuccessful auctions or PayPal. When a new bid is placed the time left for the auction to run increases by typically 30 seconds, just like you would see in a real auction room.

Land Of Savings reserve the right to change the auction times at any time and to add or remove products from the Land Of Savings website.
The auction ends when no more bids are submitted within the remaining time stated. The User who is the last to bid wins the product. There will be no refund for all other bids placed when the auction is finished. The last bidder is determined by what data is shown on the Land Of Savings database. Our decision is final on who the last bidder was.

Should a technical problem occur which may affect the Land Of Savings auction the countdown timers for all live auctions will be paused until the issue has been resolved. Auctions will continue as the system is brought back up. The auctions will be restarted from the same time they were prior to the technical problem. Alternatively, Land Of Savings holds the right to restart all auctions, when the technical problem(s) has (have) been rectified or cancel the auction and credit all bids back to the user in that particular auction.

 
Notification/Acceptance of the Win/Payment
After the auction has ended, the last bidder i.e. the winner will receive an email from Land Of Saving entitled “you have won an auction” This email contains a link to direct the user to the payment page on the Land Of Savings server. If an auction has closed due to a technical error or does not hit a minimum reserve that we set, Land Of Savings reserves the right to void the auction, return any money paid for the item and resume or restart the auction. This mechanism exists to maintain the fairness of the auction to all users who may have been prevented or discouraged from continuing to bid in the auction.  Confirmation/Acceptance of a win will only be legally binding once we have shipped your item.

Maximum Wins
From the 12th November 2009 all members will be limited to winning 10 auctions per 30 days. Once 10 wins of any kind have taken place, all bidding will be restricted. This decision is final and will be applied by our accounts staff.

Payment
Payment of auctions must be paid within 48 hours (free2bid auctions) and 72 hours for standard auctions. In the event that the winner has not paid within the set time scals the option to purchase the product expires. There is also no entitlement of a refund of any bids used for non payment or losing auctions. If you do not pay for an auction your account may be suspended for 7 days. If you fail to pay for more than one auction or have previous "Declined" auctions on your account, we reserve the right to terminate your account.
 
 
Returns
If the User is unable to return to Land Of Savings the product received or can only return it in part, or in a depreciated condition, the User will have to pay compensation to Us unless the product proves to be faulty. The customer is required to pay the costs for the return of the item (unless the item is faulty). Should we incur additional costs for insufficient postage on the return of the item; these costs will be deducted from any payment remitted by the customer. Products can only be returned in their entirety. 
 
Delivery
Deliveries are made within 30 working days (up to 60 working days for FREE2BID auctions) in the UK (exclusively on the mainland) although normally within 14 days, although in exceptional circumstances, this may take longer. Any members outside of the UK may have to wait up to 60 days or longer, contact us to confirm this. Please note, if you contact us within the delivery time limit we may only send you back a link to our terms and conditions. New Customers must be aware that delivery can take 21-30 working days for the your first delivery, this is standard to protect us from fraud.

Unverified PayPal Address

If you are not PayPal verified we may suspend/close or restrict your access. If we do allow you to play, your items may arrive slower than customers verified. Please read more in our additional information section below.

Additional Information / Personal ID

We may carry out identity checks to confirm your identity and to confirm your address or to protect us from Money Laundering and fraud. These checks will be carried out with a licenced credit reference agency, these are not the same as Credit Checks and do not count against your Credit Score and we cannot see your credit file. We will only have access to confirm your identity using your name, date of birth or electrol register information. If we cannot confirm your identity then we may request further proofs of ID (which we would do through the post and not email for security reasons). If we cannot confirm your identity we may contact you for further information. In the event we cannot confirm your identity your account may be suspended until we can. Please note, Customers who are not verified with PayPal may receive a letter from us to the account holders address and/or delivery address. This letter will contain a pin number which must be entered at the address shown. This pin number and additional details entered on our website will help us confirm your ID and to confirm the delivery address on file.

Premium Delivery

We now offer premium delivery, this will be charged in addition to standard delivery, however, delivery will usually be made within 7 days. Auctions that offer this facility will be marked with a red star, additional details will be shown in the delivery summary of each auction.

Replacement Items
We are entitled to substitute an item with a comparable replacement product with at least the same features.
Please note, we cannot track orders unless the time shown above has passed. Emails regarding deliveries which are still within the time limit will receive a link to our delivery terms.
 
Liability
Land Of Savings are not liable for faulty operation of the computer system during bid submission and for incorrect or slow transmission of bidding data caused by the internet provider. Should this occur, the bidder will have no legal right to the purchase of the item. Our decision is final.
 
Guarantee/Return policy
The items are supplied fit for any reasonable purpose. The item descriptions are provided to the best of our knowledge in order to provide information to the User. Images of products can, on occasions, differ from the original. If you receive a faulty products, you must email us for further help. All items are 100% new and legit and shipped in that fashion.

PayPal

Payments must be paid via PayPal unless otherwise agreed. We do not accept ECheques. Please note, if your transaction is placed on hold/under review by PayPal we will restrict your access to our site until PayPal have confirmed it's safe for us to allow you to use our services. Failed payments will result in us starting recovery action againt the losses.
